Nicholas brings over 17 years of experience to his clients. His expertise and advice is sought by public and private companies ranging from development stage to Fortune 500. He has led numerous engagement teams in completing private placements, equity and debt offerings, mergers/acquisitions, purchase accounting, structured equity transactions, carve-outs, internal controls and accounting/finance infrastructure assessments. Nicholas has a reputation for delivering dynamic business solutions which exceed his clients’ expectations. Nicholas has consulted for companies in a variety of industries, such as Life Sciences, Software, Telecommunications, Bio-Tech, IT Consulting and Manufacturing. Nicholas is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Boston College.

Shane T. Shane brings over 14 years of experience to his clients. Shane has worked as an integrated member of management at a variety of companies. His comprehensive skills in accounting, finance and operations have been developed by working with companies ranging from development stage to Fortune 500. Shane has a broad range of both technical accounting and operational skills, including debt and equity offerings, due diligence and purchase accounting, stock option and equity instrument accounting, and revenue recognition. Shane has consistently achieved superior client service results by leveraging his technical expertise and his ability to deliver real-time solutions. Shane’s expertise lies in a variety of industries, such as Technology, Biotechnology, Internet Commerce, Software, Telecommunications, Services and Manufacturing.

James Quinlan jquinlan@cfgi.com T: (857) 939-0504 Jim brings over 14 years of experience to CFGI. Prior to CFGI, he served as Internal Audit Manager for two publicly traded corporations. Earlier in his career, Jim was in the middle market audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jim has extensive experience with accounting for complex debt and equity instruments, variable interest entities, purchase accounting, accounting for derivatives and hedging, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. While at CFGI, Jim has served as an interim controller for several companies including two publicly traded life sciences companies and a venture funded aviation management company. Jim has provided consulting services to clients in many industries including life sciences, software, publishing, retail, and technology. Jim is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Stonehill College.

Jason Porter jporter@cfgi.com T: (774) 274-2227 Jason brings over 15 years of experience to CFGI. Prior to CFGI, he was the Corporate Controller of a multi-billion dollar publicly traded professional services firm. Jason has held various accounting and reporting roles with publicly traded companies in the technology industry since beginning his career in the Technology, Information, Communication, and Entertainment audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jason has leveraged his significant experience dealing with complex technical accounting areas, internal and external reporting and internal controls in a wide variety of organizations to provide clients with superior results. While at CFGI, Jason has assisted domestic and international clients with initial public offerings, merger and acquisition accounting, asset impairment assessments, restatements and a number of other, complex accounting, reporting and internal control matters. Jason is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley University.
