2021 was an exciting year of growth for CFGI, which included a new partnership with CVC Capital Partners, one of the world’s largest private equity firms. Along with CFGI’s partnership with The Carlyle Group, this will enable CFGI to accelerate expansion and build on our current position as one of the world’s leading non-audit advisory firms.
2021 was also a record-setting year for the U.S. capital markets, where companies raised over $282 billion in proceeds from over 1,000 completed initial public offerings, approximately 600 of which were completed by Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs). During this growth in the market, CFGI’s Accounting Advisory Practice and Capital Markets Advisory team supported over 200 capital markets transactions, including traditional IPOs, blank check IPOs and deSPAC mergers. Additionally, the year concluded with over 100 transactions in progress.
To support the growth in capital markets transaction work, CFGI welcomed additional leaders including Enea Tarenzi, Ed Salmonov, and Daiva Kazlauskas as Managing Directors to the team. Each brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in accounting and advisory services and we’re honored to have them on board. With the help of our dedicated team members, we’re more prepared than ever to tackle what’s to come this year.
2022 promises to be another exciting year for CFGI and the Capital Markets Advisory team, with several more transactions completed so far in Q1 and a robust pipeline of potential new projects ahead.
