Position Description:Accounting Advisory Senior Managers thrive in a client facing role where they work closely with our clients’ “c-level” management team serving a subject matter expert to deliver solutions to complex issues. As a Senior Manager you will enjoy a constant stream of challenging projects and grow through a collaborative team-based environment. At CFGI you can expect to gain exposure to a variety of projects across different industries where you will lead multiple engagements from start to finish free of any independence issues. Our nimble team sizes allow Senior Managers to acquire in-depth technical expertise, develop their teams, and work closely with CFGI’s leadership to advance as a professional and grow as a leader.
Nature of our projects:Transaction accounting (buy- and sell-side diligence, purchase accounting, stock offerings) Capital markets projects (IPO’s, reverse merger, carve outs)Accounting guidance implementation (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 326, ASC 815, ASC 810)M&A integration and consolidation Preparation of restatements and SEC comment letters (i.e. – 10K’s, 10Q’s, S-1 and S-4 filings, audit coordination). Process improvement projects and implementation of changesOperational accounting integration: serve as a subject matter expert when it comes to operational senior accounting tasks or overall financial team support.
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in AccountingCPA certification 9+ years’ experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting/financeOutstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and ability to assimilate easily into teamsStrong technical skills and a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reportingProactive in identifying client needs and effective in building a strong relationship with clients Highly organized, focused, with the ability to set overall engagement expectations from planning to final deliveryEffective analytical and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to lead executive level meetings with clients and their Big4 auditors on all aspects of the engagementEntrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical and dependableHigh-energy with commitment to quality client service Proven record of managerial and team-building skills Ability to coach and develop Consultants across the firm Desire to consistently seek opportunities to enhance your skills by attending and/or developing firm training materials
