Nicholas J. Nardone
A co-founder of CFGI, Nicholas served as a Manager in the Technology, Information, Communication, and Entertainment audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Bringing 20 years of experience to his work for our clients, his expertise and advice is sought by public and private companies ranging from development stage to Fortune 500. Nicholas has led numerous engagement teams in completing private placements, equity and debt offerings, mergers/acquisitions, purchase accounting, structured equity transactions, carve-outs, internal controls and accounting/finance infrastructure assessments. He has a reputation for delivering dynamic business solutions that exceed his clients’ expectations.

Shane T. Caiazzo
A co-founder of CFGI, Shane is a former Senior Supervisor in the Technology, Information, Communication, and Entertainment audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Bringing 16 years of experience to his client engagements, Shane has worked as an integrated member of management at a variety of companies. His comprehensive skills in accounting, finance and operations have been developed by working with companies ranging from development stage to Fortune 500.
Shane has a broad range of both technical accounting and operational skills, including debt and equity offerings, due diligence and purchase accounting, stock option and equity instrument accounting, and revenue recognition. Shane has consistently achieved superior client-service results by leveraging his technical expertise — along with his ability to deliver real-time solutions. His experience spans a variety of industries, such as Technology, Biotech, Internet Commerce, Software, Telecommunications, Services and Manufacturing.
Shane is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College.

With over 15 years of experience across multiple disciplines, Jim’s knowledge and insight are key advantages for our clients. Prior to CFGI, he served as Internal Audit Manager for two publicly traded corporations. Earlier in his career, Jim served in the middle market audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has extensive experience with accounting for complex debt and equity instruments, variable interest entities, purchase accounting, accounting for derivatives and hedging, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
While at CFGI, Jim has served as an interim controller for several companies, including two publicly traded life sciences companies and a venture-funded aviation management company. Jim has provided consulting services to clients in many industries including Life Sciences, Software, Publishing, Retail and Technology.
Jim is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Stonehill College.

With over 15 years of experience, Matt has a strong track record of providing effective finance and accounting solutions to his clients and has distinguished himself as an expert in the financial services industry. Prior to joining CFGI, Matt worked as an Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche, served as Director of Internal Control at MassMutual Financial Group, and Director of Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy at Sun Life Financial.
While at CFGI, Matt has assisted various companies through the S-1 process including drafting the MD&A, financial statements, as well as accounting assistance related to financing transactions, earnings per share, preferred shares, and warrants along with various other technical accounting topics. Having fulfilled crucial roles at financial services companies, Matt has served as the Director of External Reporting and assisted with a variety of merger and acquisition initiatives. Additionally, Matt brings valuable experience having led an Accounting Policy group on an interim basis to assist with the adoption of accounting guidance and regulation, including various International Financial Reporting Standards.
Matt is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and Connecticut and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western New England University.
With over 35 years of experience providing financial leadership to growth companies; Dan brings extensive knowledge of complex accounting, funding strategies, financial analysis and reporting, strategic planning, IPO’s and M&A transactions to CFGI. Prior to joining CFGI, Dan has been responsible for building the financial infrastructures and providing the financial management to achieve profitability and enable growth. He has also successfully completed an IPO, managed sales to strategic buyers, completed multiple domestic and cross border acquisitions and raised hundreds of millions of dollars in debt and equity capital.
As Managing Director of CFGI’s CFO Services practice, Dan leads a team of highly experienced finance leaders who together support investors and CEO’s of emerging stage organizations by providing part time or transitional CFO services. These services include oversight of finance functions, assistance with M&A transactions, financial reporting and analysis, business model development, planning and budgeting, financial modeling — as well as a multitude of other complex issues.
Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Niagara University.

Chris has over 18 years of experience providing accounting, management advisory and transaction services to public and private companies ranging from development stage to Fortune 500. His experience spans a variety of industries including Manufacturing, Retail, Technology, Life Sciences, Energy, Real Estate, Healthcare, Insurance, and Software. Prior to joining CFGI, Chris was a Partner at KPMG LLP and served four years in the firm’s National Office in New York City where he advised engagement teams and clients on complex accounting and SEC reporting matters, and contributed to the development of the firm’s external accounting publications.
Chris has extensive experience with mergers/acquisitions, divestitures, IPO’s and secondary offerings, private placement debt and equity offerings, debt restructurings, carve-outs, restatements, and internal control assessments.
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
