Edward Sweeney is a Partner in CFGI’s Philadelphia office, where he brings extensive experience as both a finance executive and technical accounting leader. With deep expertise across the pharmaceutical, medical device, manufacturing, real estate, and homebuilding industries, Ed advises clients of all sizes, public and private, on their most complex financial and operational challenges. His background spans accounting and financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, pre- and post-merger integration, accounting operations management, and procurement. He also has significant SEC experience, guiding clients through public offerings, registration statements, interim and annual reporting, and SEC comment letter resolution.
Prior to joining CFGI, Edward spent more than seven years at Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: ENDP), where he held roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as Vice President, Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer. Earlier in his career, he spent 13 years at EY in Philadelphia, where he rose to Audit Senior Manager. Edward is recognized for his ability to combine technical accounting expertise with practical business leadership, helping clients navigate regulatory requirements while driving operational excellence.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Pennsylvania.
