Karen is a Managing Director providing accounting advisory services to public and private companies, including technical accounting, financial reporting, and transaction support. Karen consistently works with clients to find solutions to complex accounting issues and provides a tailored approach that fits each client’s needs and circumstances. 

Karen has extensive experience with business combination, revenue recognition accounting, SEC reporting, and implementation of new accounting standards, including scoping, technical and procedural analysis, memo preparation, audit coordination and disclosures. 

Prior to joining CFGI, Karen worked as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in Miami, Florida. During her thirteen-years in public accounting, Karen was responsible for leading audit engagements for a variety of clients, including SEC registrants and privately held companies in various industries including manufacturing, distribution, technology, pharmaceutical and life sciences. She has extensive experience in managing global internal and external teams while assisting her clients through complex accounting matters including completion of audits, assessments of accounting impact of business transactions, evaluation of internal control structures, among other. 

Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Business Administration and in International Business from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida and in Puerto Rico.
