Joseph Baum is a Partner at CFGI who specializes in restructuring. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading the restructuring of distressed companies in the roles of Chief Restructuring Officer and financial advisor.

Joseph has represented secured and unsecured creditors, indenture trustees, receivers, examiners, and court-appointed trustees. He has also served as a liquidating trustee and performed viability and solvency analyses, feasibility and liquidation analyses, fraudulent transfers and preference analyses, and damage claim analyses.

Joseph’s bankruptcy-related work includes TOUSA, Fleming Foods, Tropicana Casino and Resort, Marcel Paper Mills, and Worldcom.

A subject matter expert in fraud and forensic accounting investigations, Joseph possesses comprehensive knowledge of securities class action litigations, mortgage, and other fraud investigations. He was active in several high-profile investigations, including Bernie Madoff and Worldcom.
