Growing Roots in Boston
Founded in Boston, MA, by Nick Nardone and Shane Caiazzo in 2000, CFGI emerged as the go-to partner for CFOs, addressing critical needs without the constraints of auditor independence. We established a prominent brand in Boston and extended our reach as an independent accounting advisory services team, boasting capabilities comparable to those of the Big 4 national offices.
Institutional Backing and National Growth
Over the years, we’ve not only scaled CFGI to a team of 1000+ employees, but also laid the groundwork for expanding into new geographies. Our first venture outside of Boston led us to New York in 2014. Since then, we have grown into 28 offices around the world and evolved our initial focus to launch service offerings supporting the evolving needs of CFOs. Through a grassroots service model, CFGI is able to have people near our clients so they can work side by side.
With strategic partnerships with The Carlyle Group in 2018 and CVC Capital Partners in 2022—two of the largest Private Equity firms in the world—we are proud to have the institutional backing that allows us to fuel national and global growth.
