Dick is a Managing Director in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory & Private Equity practice groups for the firm’s Dallas office. Dick is an experienced professional with over 20 years of accounting and operations experience within the consumer products, manufacturing, life sciences, and technology industries. Throughout his career, he has honed his skills in developing more efficient month-end close processes, internal controls assessment and implementation, implementation of new accounting standards, and financial due diligence.
Dick’s skills include budgeting and forecasting; financial and operational (KPI) reporting; technical accounting and emerging standard implementation; Big 4 audit preparation and management; and board/audit committee communications.
The first 15 years of Dick’s career were spent within the assurance practices at Deloitte and PwC before being recruited into industry. In his industry role, he led the finance organization through the budgeting and forecasting process, implementation and monitoring of key performance indicators as well as variance analyses, coordination of financial statement audits, the securing of a line of credit and term loan, the upgrading and training of the accounting department, and the implementation of a new accounting system and ultimately transitioned into CFO of the company before its acquisition.
Dick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas.
