Howard is a Managing Director in the Restructuring Group at CFGI, providing advice to secured creditors, business owners and corporate boards as they navigate the challenges of a distressed environment, viability challenges and workout situations. He possesses the knowledge and experience to effectuate an efficient process to address secured creditor needs including collateral valuation, negotiation of adequate protection payments and exit strategies.  Howard has represented asset-based lenders with their due diligence procedures, important decisions such as whether to extend credit as well as the negotiation of advantageous forbearance arrangements. He has represented borrowers in achieving successful refinancing of their credit facilities.

Prior to joining CFGI, Howard worked for a New Jersey-based consulting firm specializing in interim financial management and advisory to business owners experiencing different levels of financial distress. Prior to that, he worked for 17 years at CohnReznick LLP in their restructuring and litigation support group. He has extensive experience representing financially troubled companies, secured and unsecured creditors, court-appointed trustees, receivers and examiners both in and out of court. He has performed viability and solvency analyses, feasibility and liquidation analyses, fraudulent transfers and preference analyses, damage claim analyses, fraud investigations and litigation support services.

Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York and a Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor (CIRA).
