Jay Herring is a Managing Partner and Charlotte Market Leader at CFGI, based in Charlotte, NC. Jay brings more than 28 years of experience advising clients across manufacturing and diversified products, consumer business, aerospace and defense, and technology.
Prior to CFGI, Jay served as an Assurance Partner, Financial Accounting & Advisory Services Partner, and Americas Assurance Value & Growth Leader at EY. He has extensive experience supporting both large multinational enterprises and growth-oriented companies on complex finance and accounting matters.
Jay’s areas of expertise include US GAAP technical accounting, audit readiness and support, mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting, IPO readiness, debt and equity offerings, internal controls support, and PMO leadership.
In his role at CFGI, Jay leads the firm’s continued expansion in Charlotte and across the Carolinas, with a focus on accounting advisory, transactions, and business transformation for clients of all sizes and complexities.
