Lama is a Managing Director in CFGI’s Cybersecurity practice. She brings 11 years of experience in global Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Management. 

 

Lama has a wealth of experience in facilitating various cybersecurity and privacy compliance efforts leveraging NIST CSF, NIST-P, SEC Cybersecurity Rules, CMMC, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, China CSL/MLPS, C-TPAT, and other industry frameworks and regulations. She has experience managing and optimizing policies, procedures, and governance models while rationalizing them across global cybersecurity jurisdictions, industry standards, and contractual obligations. 

Prior to joining CFGI, Lama led the global Cybersecurity GRC team for the Fortune 300 industrial supply company, W.W. Grainger, Inc., and its subsidiaries in North America, Asia, and Europe. Lama served on its Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG) committee and was responsible for establishing the GRC program, maturing it, and informing the CISO, and the Board of Directors of the current state of the cybersecurity program and the roadmap to further its maturity. 

Lama has been a keynote speaker at several industry and educational events, especially ones that help drive women to pursue careers in Technology and Cybersecurity. She leads the CFGI Network Of Women in the Chicago Office and has been nominated and shortlisted for the Security Leader of The Year Award 2021 at the Women in IT Summit & Awards, USA. 

Lama has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and is a candidate for Master’s in Project Management with Agile Lean concentration at Harrisburg University of Science & Technology. Lama is also a member of the FAIR Institute for Risk Management.
