Laura is a Managing Director in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory practice, providing accounting and financial consulting services with a focus in the software, technology, life sciences, and retail industries for over 11 years.
Laura has experience in a variety of complex technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, capitalized software, leasing, and financial reporting. In these areas, Laura’s deliverables have ranged from technical whitepapers to quantitative data analyses. Her deepest expertise is in revenue recognition, including ASC 606 implementations, contract analysis, audit coordination, restatement, and ASC 340 cost capitalization. Laura has served as a key technical resource for other members of the firm and provided formal trainings regarding the new revenue standard.
Laura has managed quarterly and annual financial statement and footnote preparation for both SEC registrants and private companies. She has confidentially led a client through an international IPO. She has performed operational accounting duties at her clients, including monthly close activities, payroll submission, staff management, and reconciliation preparation/review.
Laura has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Boston College, a Master of Science in Accounting from Boston College, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts.
