Martin is a Managing Director in CFGI’s UK Accounting Advisory practice, bringing over 15 years of experience in risk advisory and industry roles across the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors.
Martin specializes in a broad range of accounting and risk advisory services, including business process improvement, SOX preparation and compliance, internal control design and implementation, internal audit, and controls testing. He has deep expertise in UK corporate reform, particularly Provision 29, and works closely with companies to navigate the transition with a pragmatic and tailored approach.
Before joining CFGI, Martin held senior industry positions for more than a decade. He served as Director of Corporate Finance for a global iGaming developer, Global Head of Assurance for a leading direct-to-consumer online wine retailer, and Financial Controller for both a London-based multi-site fitness chain and a US-listed luxury hospitality brand.
Martin has extensive experience assessing business challenges, developing and executing remediation plans, and managing cross-functional stakeholder engagement to drive successful change management. His diverse background across different business models and stages of maturity allows him to bring a practical, industry-informed perspective to every engagement.
A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Martin trained professionally with Deloitte LLP in London. He holds a First-Class degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Nottingham.
