Mike brings over 13 years of experience to his clients, providing accounting advisory services to both public and private companies of all sizes ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and across multiple industries, including life sciences, retail, consumer products, manufacturing, logistics/distribution, software and technology.
He is a subject matter expert in lease accounting, including ASC 842, IFRS 16, and GASB 87, and has extensive experience assisting clients with the adoption and ongoing accounting for these standards. He has also led clients through system implementations related to lease accounting. In addition, Mike has significant experience in supporting clients with their complex technical accounting and reporting matters including consolidation, impairment, business combinations, capitalized software, collaborations, and revenue. Mike has also led the accounting workstreams for transformational projects (e.g., IPOs/SPACs, commercialization, etc.).
Prior to joining CFGI, Mike worked as an auditor in the Deloitte Boston office and as a manager of technical accounting at a multibillion-dollar global retail company reporting under IFRS. While at Deloitte, he was exposed to retail, manufacturing, financial services, and technology clients. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
