O’Brien is a Managing Director in CFGI’s Business Transformation group where he supports clients with current state finance and accounting assessments, post-merger integration, divestiture management, reporting optimization and business process re-engineering. He has over 14 years of experience supporting clients through complex engagements across several sectors including Consumer Markets, Industrial Products, Pharmaceuticals, Fintech and Technology.
O’Brien has successfully led multiple medium to large scale projects spanning across GAAP Change initiatives, divestiture and separation management, finance process optimization, post-merger integration, finance system implementation and IPO readiness. He has vast experience managing cross-functional engagements that require close coordination with global stakeholders on country-specific requirements. He was pivotal in driving the collaboration of legal, tax and controllership teams on time-sensitive divestiture transactions.
Prior to joining CFGI, O’Brien was a Director in PwC’s Finance Transformation practice where he focused on helping companies scale for growth enabled by business processes and the technology stack.
O’Brien holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Solusi University (Zimbabwe) and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
