Cory Fisher is a Managing Director in the Accounting Advisory practice at CFGI. Cory leads clients through complex transactions such as IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, and new accounting standard implementations. Additionally, he supports clients with external audit readiness and financial reporting, including preparation of SEC filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q) and interim controllership roles.
Before joining CFGI, Cory served as an Accounting Advisory Managing Director at Centri Business Consulting, LLC and spent 13 years at Deloitte & Touche LLP, most recently as a Senior Manager, where he planned, coordinated, supervised and executed financial statement external audits and accounting advisory service engagements. He provided technical guidance and strategic expertise across a wide array of topics and industries, including revenue recognition, business combinations, leases, stock-based compensation, consolidation, segment and SEC reporting, capitalized software, IPO readiness and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
Cory holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degrees from the University of Tennessee and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Georgia.
