Crawford Powell is a Managing Director in CFGI’s FP&A Advisory practice, bringing more than 20 years of experience helping CFOs and executive teams modernize finance organizations and strengthen decision‑making. He works closely with private equity–backed companies and mid‑market businesses to design scalable finance operating models, improve FP&A capabilities, and deploy technology that enhances insight, control, and performance.
Crawford has led finance transformation initiatives across a wide range of industries, partnering with leadership teams to redesign forecasting, planning, and performance reporting processes while aligning teams, systems, and operating structures to support growth. His work frequently spans end‑to‑end finance transformation—from operating model design and process improvement to technology enablement and organizational restructuring.
Prior to joining CFGI, Crawford served as a Strategic Finance and FP&A Advisory Partner at Staliant and as Managing Director of FP&A Services at E78 Partners, where he led transformation efforts for private equity portfolio companies. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade at Deloitte, advising Fortune 500 clients on valuation, M&A transactions, and complex financial reporting matters.
Crawford holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is based in Atlanta.
