Mark is a Managing Director in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory Group. Throughout his professional career of more than 30 years, Mark has focused on serving public and private clients in many industries and helping them to understand technical accounting developments and how those changes will affect their financial reporting. He also has helped clients work through technical issues in areas such as derivatives and hedging, financial instrument accounting, and SEC financial reporting.
Prior to joining CFGI, Mark worked for more than 30 years at Deloitte including 20 years in its national office Accounting and Reporting Services group. In that role, Mark focused on monitoring the activities of standard-setters, creating interpretive accounting guidance and communications, and consulting with clients on technical issues, primarily in the areas of derivatives and hedging and financial instruments. Earlier in his career, he also spent two years in Deloitte’s national office SEC Services group, where he performed pre-filing reviews to help clients comply with SEC accounting and financial reporting requirements. Before joining Deloitte’s national office group, Mark served as a senior manager in Deloitte’s Washington, D.C./Northern Virginia and Seattle audit practices and served clients in a number of industries, with a focus was on financial services clients.
Mark is a licensed CPA in Connecticut and Virginia and is a member of the AICPA. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce (Accounting Concentration) from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
