Stephen Kretschmar is a Managing Director at CFGI, where he leads financial due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients. He provides buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence and M&A advisory services across middle-market transactions. He draws on his prior operational and corporate development experience in advising clients on transaction strategy, diligence, and execution.
Prior to joining CFGI, Stephen held leadership roles in finance and corporate development at Physical Rehabilitation Network, a private equity–backed, multi-site healthcare services organization. He was instrumental in building the company’s FP&A function and played a key role in executing its acquisition strategy, contributing to more than 20 completed transactions and supporting two joint ventures with major health systems. He also played a central role in the company’s sale to Gryphon Investors.
Earlier in his career, Stephen was part of the transaction advisory and assurance practices at BDO USA, serving public and private middle-market clients. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in California.
