Geoffrey Lanyon

Managing Director

Geoff is a Managing Director in CFGI’s Valuation Services practice. Geoff brings over ten years of experience in valuing equity, fixed income, derivatives, and other instruments. Geoff’s experience includes working with businesses ranging from start-up enterprises to global companies, and across a diverse assortment of industries. Geoff provides valuation solutions a wide variety of clients including operating companies, investment companies and investment vehicles, and other enterprises.

Prior to joining CFGI, Geoff was a Director in RSM’s valuation department, where he provided complex financial instruments valuation services involving earnouts, complex debt securities, warrants, options, restricted stock units, instruments issued by Special Purpose Acquisition Companies, Incremental Borrowing Rates, and other instruments, for both external valuation services and audit review work. Prior to RSM, Geoff worked as a Manager in BDO’s valuation department, where he provided a wide array of valuation analyses for both external valuation services and audit review work, for a variety of different clients. Additionally, over the duration of his full career, Geoff has worked in a multitude of different capacities, spanning financial analysis, fixed income, tax, and economics.

Geoff holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University, a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, is a Certified Public Accountant (Arizona), and holds a Certified Valuation Analyst designation.
