Rob Gjerlow is a Partner in CFGI’s New York office, leading Private Equity Coverage and Strategy. He brings more than 25 years of experience working with financial sponsors and their portfolio companies across multiple economic cycles and geographies.
Over the course of his investment banking career, Rob has successfully originated and executed more than $190 billion of announced and completed transactions. His experience spans mergers and acquisitions, leveraged loans, high yield bonds, initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, private placements, restructurings, and derivative financial instruments for a broad cross section of private equity clients. Most recently, he served as Head of US Private Capital at a North American investment bank, where he was responsible for sponsor coverage and complex, multi-product transactions.
At CFGI, Rob focuses on deepening relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, one of the firm’s key strategic priorities. He works closely with sponsors and management teams to connect them with CFGI’s full suite of capabilities and to align advisory support with each stage of the investment lifecycle.
Rob is known for a high-performance, client-first approach and for bringing senior-level focus, speed, and customized solutions to even the most complex situations. He values CFGI’s nimble, entrepreneurial culture and collaborative team model, which enable the firm to deliver the “whole firm” to private equity clients and help them build great businesses.
