John is a Partner in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory practice, advising high-growth and multinational companies on complex transactions, including IPOs, SPACs, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital-markets readiness.
Before joining CFGI, John spent over 15 years as a Partner in a Big Four advisory and audit practice, guiding companies through IPOs, SPAC transactions, acquisitions, and divestitures. He led the national SPAC technical team and partnered with C-suite leaders on SEC reporting, technical accounting, financial statement carve-outs, and transaction-driven process changes.
He served as the lead audit partner for a global multi-brand company, supporting its $11B acquisition and subsequent transformation initiatives. John also completed multiple rotations in the firm’s Department of Professional Practice—advising on complex U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SEC matters—and held designations as both an SEC Reviewing Partner and IFRS Reviewing Partner. His earlier experience includes three years in Paris supporting cross-border IPOs and U.S. listings.
John graduated with a Master in Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
