CFGI Connecticut Volunteers with Save the Sound

CFGI Connecticut spent time in September 2022 volunteering with Save the Sound as part of the 2022 International Coastal Cleanup. Plastic pollution is a massive problem for our oceans, but even small actions can make a big difference. From plankton to whales, animals throughout the ocean are finding their homes polluted by plastics. Our CT team picked up a total of 36 pounds of trash from the river during the event – great work, team!

Save the Sound works hard from the open waters all the way to the halls of Congress: The organization finds and stops water pollution, restores fish and wildlife habitats to vibrant health, and strengthens shoreline communities. The group has been fighting for the Sound and its rivers for over 40 years, and you can learn more and get involved by clicking here!
