Joel helped lead the establishment of the tax practice at CFGI and currently serves as its managingpartner. He is responsible for establishing and executing on all strategic objectives, client service delivery models, business development, recruitment, internal tax policies & procedures, mentoring and infrastructure build-out.
He has over 20 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to numerous clients in a variety of industries.

Chris Booth
Partner
Chris has more than 15 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to numerous clients. Here at CFGI, he works with a variety of publicly traded and privately held companies in a wide array of industries, including technology, software, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and industrial manufacturing. His clients range from pre-revenue startups to multibillion-dollar companies.
Prior to joining CFGI, Chris worked at a Big Four firm for more than 10 years. During this time, he supervised corporate tax provision preparations on an interim and annual basis. He also handled reviews and financial statement audits, including a variety of highly complicated transactions, such as initial public offerings (IPOs), spinoffs and more.

Bill Barnes
Partner
Bill is the Partner leading CFGI’s research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting practice. He has a passion for helping companies pursue R&D cash tax savings opportunities in a practical and sustainable manner. Bill leverages his collaborative style, technical expertise and significant experience to develop a tailored approach that meets each business’s key objectives.
Prior to joining CFGI, Bill worked at a Big Four public accounting firm for more than 14 years, serving as part of the tax consulting group and specializing in the preparation and defense of federal and state research credit claims.

Paul Schechter
Director, State and Local Tax Practice Leader
Paul is a Director and practice leader for our state and local tax group at CFGI. Paul has provided deep technical support to a broad range of clients in the area of sales and use taxes, as well as other tax types, such as property, excises, gross receipts, payroll, business licenses, unclaimed property and income and franchise taxes.
Prior to joining CFGI, Paul worked at a Big Four firm and several regional accounting firms. He also worked in industry, where he managed an expansive variety of large-scale, indirect tax projects.

Philip Graham
Senior Managing Director
As a Managing Director with CFGI’s tax consulting practice, Philip draws on an extensive leadership background while supporting the firm’s diverse client base. He also co-leads CFGI’s Tax Due Diligence and Pass-Through Tax practices.
Philip has more than 30 years of experience as an in-house tax director and adviser with a Big Four firm. Prior to joining CFGI, his career at Fidelity Investments spanned 25 years. During that time he was senior vice president of corporate tax. He was responsible for the planning and implementation of tax services to support Fidelity businesses.
