Alex is a Partner in CFGI’s UK tax practice and is responsible for the provision of corporate tax services to our UK clients. Alex has a primary focus on working with private equity and portfolio companies, in particular supporting newly acquired portfolio groups and working closely with management teams to understand and action the tax risks and challenges that often arise throughout the investment lifecycle. However, he also has significant experience of working with a full spectrum of businesses, ranging from small privately-owned companies to publicly listed corporations.
Prior to joining CFGI, Alex spent 16 years with Deloitte where he was director in the private equity and portfolio companies tax team. In this role, Alex was responsible for leading the firm’s overall relationship with his clients, including the provision of all tax services and facilitating the involvement of other service lines (accounting, transaction services, and consulting) to support clients on a range of other matters.
Alex is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons) from the University of Warwick.
