Alison is a Managing Director in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory practice providing technical accounting and interim management support. She assists public and private clients across numerous industries which most recently include life sciences, retail, and technology. Alison consistently works with clients to find solutions to complex accounting and provides a tailored approach that fits each clients needs and circumstances.
Alison’s skills include ASC 330 inventory/cost accounting; ASC 606 revenue from contracts with customers (revenue recognition); ASC 808 collaboration accounting; ASC 840/842 leases; financial closing and reporting processes; audit and IPO readiness; and interim management and period end close support. Her industry experience includes Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Biotechnology; Media & Entertainment; Technology & Software; and Consumer Products. Alison has systems/technology expertise in NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Active Disclosure, Carta, and Microsoft Excel.
While at CFGI, Alison has primarily worked on consumer products, biotechnology and technology clients. Alison has executed on a variety of projects including audit and IPO readiness, interim Controller roles for private and public companies, project management of ERP implementations, and technical assessments over collaboration agreements.
Prior to joining CFGI, Alison worked as an Assistant Controller for a high growth e-commerce company as well as an Accounting Manager for an advertising technology company. Prior to Alison’s industry experience she was an experienced associate in KPMG’s audit practice out of Tyson’s Croner, VA.
Alison has a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia.
