Bill is the Tax Partner leading CFGI’s R&D Tax Credit consulting practice. In this role, Bill helps companies identify, maximize, document, and defend credit claims. Bill has helped companies of all sizes and entity types, with experience ranging from advising Fortune 100 companies to maximize and sustain millions in annual tax savings to assisting start-ups in capturing & sustaining refundable payroll credits. Bill routinely helps his clients defend credit claims under federal or state examination and leverages his experience to maximize credit claims in an audit-defensive manner and non-intrusive manner that is custom-tailored to meet his client’s key business objectives.​

Prior to joining CFGI, Bill worked at a Big Four public accounting firm for over 14 years where he was part of the tax consulting group and specialized in the preparation and defense of federal and state research credit claims. Bill has experience providing R&D credit services across the full spectrum of project sizes, entity types, and scopes, including the successful design and execution of research credit studies ranging from credit maximization efforts to studies intended to optimize and document the credit in a manner that was as minimally intrusive to the business as possible. His prior experience also includes the successful defense of research credit claims under IRS and state examinations, including highly controversial internal use software claims, claims involving statistical sampling, Directive claims, and examinations involving large refund claims reviewed and approved by the Joint Committee on Taxation.​

Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University.
