Grant is a Partner in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory and Private Equity practice groups. He is a hands-on, seasoned and well-rounded professional with over 25 years of broad accounting and financial operations experience. Grant has served across a variety of industries in Controllership, VP, Finance, FP&A, Internal Audit and Big Four Assurance. Within those industries, he has held the titles of SVP-Global Controller, Director of Accounting, Divisional Head of Finance and Group Financial Officer for several PE-backed companies, including TH Lee, Symphony Technology Group, Citi Venture Capital (CVC) Group, Huntsman Gay Capital Group, Starr Investment Holdings, The Rohatyn Group and more.
In his recent SVP-Global Controller role, Grant had direct responsibility and oversight of all worldwide accounting and financial reporting activities across 20 countries. Heading up a worldwide team of 160, including 11 direct reports, he was responsible for the consolidated, worldwide U.S. GAAP reporting for the U.S.-based parent company. Grant’s team was directly responsible for the company’s external Big Four audit planning and execution, all statutory audits and financial reporting in 20 foreign countries. His geographic sphere of accountability included the Americas, Europe, India and Asia.
Grant is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration. He is skilled in controllership, financial and operational reporting, technical accounting and emerging standard implementation (ASC 606 and ASC 842), mergers and acquisitions, Big Four audit preparation, internal controls and SOX compliance, and board/audit committee communications.
