Herman brings over 20 years of proven experience which includes delivering accounting advisory services to a diverse list of clients in addition to providing exceptional executive leadership to dynamic, fast-paced corporate finance organizations, found in both publicly traded and private-equity backed technology companies. 

Herman has extensive experience focused in Software (SaaS and Cloud), healthcare IT (“HealthTech”), technology manufacturing, and services. Herman has served technology companies in various leadership roles. Such roles include Vice President Finance, CAO, and Corporate Controller. 

Herman’s diverse background includes serving as an in-house technical accounting resource which includes extensive experience with revenue recognition, capitalization of software development costs, share-based payments, and business combinations. In addition, he has provided valuable leadership in other areas of accounting and finance, including but not limited to; system implementation/integration, budgeting and forecasting, SEC reporting, Controls and Processes, and IPO Readiness.

Prior to joining CFGI Herman served as practice leader for TechCXO’s Technical Accounting Advisory Practice, where he provided deep technical and business guidance to companies operating in various industries (SaaS/Software, Biotech, Pharmaceutical). Herman has a career foundation in Big 4 public accounting with Andersen and KPMG where he was a member of each firm’s audit and advisory services technology industry practices. 

Herman is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Herman holds a BS in Accounting from Alabama State University
