Steve is a Managing Director with CFGI, providing public and private financial reporting, controllership, and consulting services. He is a seasoned professional with over 11 years of experience in the accounting and financial services industries. Steve has a wide variety of experience and he has worked in numerous industries, including real estate, life sciences, technology, manufacturing, retail, insurance, and not-for-profit industries. Steve has extensive experience in financial reporting for SEC registrants and has served as an interim controller for multiple companies in a variety of industries.
Steve’s skills include Financial Reporting; Purchase Accounting; New GAAP Implementations; Complex Technical Accounting; IPO Readiness Services; SEC Compliance; Audit Preparation; and Risk Management and Risk Advisory.
Prior to joining CFGI, Steve served as a financial reporting manager for AR Global Investments, a sponsor of public and private real estate investment trusts. In this role, Steve was responsible for the preparation and filing of quarterly 10-Q’s and annual 10-K’s for one publicly traded REIT with over $2 billion in assets under management and two public, non-traded REITs. During his tenure at AR Global, Steve’s responsibilities included accounting for multiple property acquisitions and dispositions, accounting for the merger of two REITS, the SOX compliance program, preparation of management reporting materials, presentation of results of operations to senior executives, accounting for equity compensation programs and overseeing the annual audits and quarterly reviews. Additionally, Steve’s professional experience includes his service as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserves, where he has served for over 14 years.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from West Chester University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and a Certified Defense Financial Manager.
