John is a Partner in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory practice, providing accounting and financial consulting services.
John has extensive accounting and financial reporting experience in multiple areas including revenue recognition; business combinations; consolidation; share-based payments; earnings per share; inventory; leases; asset impairment and disposal; fair value measurement; debt/equity instruments; financial statement close and reporting processes; SEC reporting and filings; transaction support (acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs, debt and equity offerings, bankruptcy); and internal control over financial reporting and SOX compliance. His industry experience primarily includes telecommunications; retail and consumer products; and media and entertainment.
Before joining CFGI, John was a Partner in the Assurance practice at EY, with over 22 years of experience at the firm. He was responsible for leading and coordinating the execution of audits of financial statements and internal control over financial reporting for public and private clients across a variety of industries. John also completed a three-year rotation in EY’s national Professional Practice-Accounting group in New York.
John has a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. John is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Kansas, Missouri, New York, Arkansas, and Texas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
