John is a Managing Director at CFGI with over 15 years of accounting advisory and financial reporting experience. While at CFGI, John has had significant experience working with public and private companies on a variety of technical accounting and reporting matters. His work has included assisting companies with SEC reporting, technical accounting research, accounting and reporting matters related to stock compensation, lease accounting, revenue recognition, business combinations, financing transactions, impairments, reverse stock splits, and pre-IPO and audit readiness.
Prior to joining CFGI, John was in the Technical and SEC Reporting department at Sensata Technologies. While at Sensata Technologies, John had significant exposure to complex accounting areas including stock compensation, equity accounting including EPS and treasury stock, pension accounting, and hedge accounting, under both US GAAP and IFRS.
John is an alumnus of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ audit practice. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Financial Management from Fitchburg State University.
